As with almost all natural skins and hides, most goatskins will have some indications that they are natural animal skins. This can be indicated by marks, scrapes and even an occasional small hole, cut or bare spot. These are not defects, but simply indications that one is dealing with natural animal products.

(The measurements above indicate the absolute widest and longest dimensions…they do not represent a solid piece with these sizes since all skins will taper in from the sides. In other words, the height is measured from the very top to the very bottom and the width is measured from side to side at the widest point.)
